It’s Spring, Time for Cleaning and Service

It’s spring, and many hands turn to spring cleaning. There’s something else you should remember, though, and that’s car care. At Fitzgerald Subaru, we’re observing April Car Care, and we have loads of specials going on right now!

Winter’s Over

Winter is behind us, and as temperatures around Washington, D.C. turn toward spring, it’s time to consider several steps you should take to get your car ready for warmer weather.

First, if you have your snow tires on, it’s time to get those off and replaced with regular tires. While you’re at it, it’s not a bad idea to have your alignment checked; just how many hidden potholes did you discover around North Bethesda last winter?

It’s probably a good time to check those windshield wipers, too. Chances are they may be ready for a change after a winter of Silver Spring snow and sleet.

The Usual

Not all service is season-specific. There are several services that need doing on a regular basis. You should probably know whether your Subaru is on a three-month or six-month service interval, but if not, give us a call to see if you’re due for those regular items like an oil change, tire rotation, air filter replacement, or battery test. We’ll get everything in order and have you back on the streets of Gaithersburg in no time.

No matter what you come in for, we offer a complimentary multi-point inspection, just in case there’s an underlying problem that needs to be discovered and addressed. After all, many major repairs can be avoided or lessened, if the root cause is caught early.
